After living in Florida for a few years, the concept that everything you have can be gone in a moment is never far from your mind. When I watch the news today of the California wildfires, it is that mindset realized.
Do you and your family have a plan?
Every Tuesday, I'm going to walk us through an easy, step by step disaster preparation challenge.
To start, bookmark the American Red Cross website.
Our first week's challenge is to make an emergency plan. Click here for the ARC guide to what your plan should include.
So, let's get started!!

What's the worst that could happen? Well, that is what we should all have a plan for. See this article:

We don't have a disaster plan- despite living in an area with potential for earthquake and tornadoes. (not to mention terrorism since Memphis is a major shipping hub and everything from the western US comes through here). We did just teach Coleman what to do in case of fire and where to meet etc. (BTW- if it was up to me, we would have 6 months of bottled water, food for just as long and a tornado shelter/saferoom. Shane however differs from me and we have none of the above.)
